KNIVES and AXES
All my knives and axes are custom made to each customer. Below is just a sample of my work. Feel free to contact me about your own custom item and I would be glad to make it for you.
Native American Fish Knife
I made this knife for my brother who reenacts a Delaware Indian persona during the 18th century.
This is not an exact replica but my interpretation of an effigy knife resembling a fish. It has a stamped eye on the blade and the scales from the old file used to make it are seen on the side of the blade. It has a pewter bolster and the antler handle has been carved to resemble fish scales and a tail.

My Knife
This is my personal knife and was inspired by the knife maker Tai Goo. I really love his style. The blade is forged from an old file. It has a pewter bolster and a curly maple handle. The sheath is darkened cowhide with a brass button on the front flap.
Roman Utility Knife
Roman style drop belly blade style. Integral bent handle. This is my work knife at the forge. I can use it hard without concern for scratching it.
Spike Tomahawk
The perfect tomahawk for any wild Indian. Chops wood on one side and heads on the other.
Belt Axe
This was my first axe head that I made during my blacksmithing school with Frank Turley in New Mexico. I made it from an old wagon tire, so it is made from old wrought iron. It is forge welded together with a high carbon steel bit forge welded in the blade just as the originals were made. It has an ash handle.
Hammer Polled Tomahawk
Great camp axe. Hammer poll on one side, wood chopper on the other. This one is made from a jack hammer bit and heat treated in both the blade and the poll. I have used this to pound in cement nails while finishing my basement when I misplaced my framing hammer.
Viking Bearded Axe and Sheild Boss (Dome)
Made for a friend of mine who claimed he was a Viking descendent.
French Spike Tomahawk
Reproduction of tomahawk shown in the Collectors Illustrated Encyclopedia of the American Revolution”, George C Neuman & Frank J Kravic
