Fire Blow Tubes

Tired of getting your face full of smoke as you try to light the fire? Try one of these fire blow tubes. You will never want to be with out it again. They are a hollow steel tube with a flared mouthpiece on one end and a tapered hole on the other that focuses a strong blast of air into your dying fire, quickly restoring it to life. It also has a hook at the end to use as fire poker or lift the lid of your dutch oven.
These tubes are patterned after ones used during the 18th century.

Cylindrical Brazier

These braziers were the portable camp stove in the colonial period. Fill the cylinder full of charcoal or wood, place your pot or pan on the supports and, you have an easy portable stove. They come in 2 sizes, a 6" diameter and 8" diameter. I have sized these such that a 10" dutch oven can sit on them without the legs getting caught. You can put a dutch oven right on top and cook!  They are made of heavy 20 gauge sheet iron With forged iron legs and riveted together. There is a removable trivet so you can cook with smaller pots, and a bail handle to carry it around.

The design was taken from several 17th and 18th century paintings:
Tea Time, by Jan Jozef II Horemans ( 1714 – 1790 ); The Four Elements, by Sebastian Stoskopff 1635;  Boy Turning Spit, by Daniel Nikolaus Chodowiecki 1746.
All of these painting can be viewed by visiting Sifting The Past website and searching for "brazier". See link below: http://siftingthepast.com/?s=brazier
